Pastor John Osborne

John was brought up on a council estate and was made to go to Sunday school at an early age with his two sisters. He enjoyed hearing the stories of Jesus and he knew at the age of seven that he was called to preach the gospel - but John was led away from church by his friends who enjoyed stealing and smoking etc because he wanted to be accepted by them.

At the age of eleven, John started secondary school and got involved in fighting. When he was sixteen years old he left school and joined the Merchant Navy, where he became involved in many vices, smoking, drinking, fighting and drug taking. After many years of living a hopeless lifestyle he had an encounter with God which changed his direction.

He became a born again believer and worked as a cook in a bible college, then he joined Teen Challenge as a full time evangelist.

He married his wife Hilary in 1995 and they went to bible school together.

He had a calling to pioneer and pastor a Church called Faith, Hope and Love Christian Centre in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Pastor Hilary Osborne

Hilary was born in Wolverhampton and went to a Congregational church Sunday school as a child and enjoyed hearing stories about Jesus.

In her first school she was bullied, thereafter her education was at convents and then a comprehensive school.

She went to a Methodist church as a teenager but instead of finding God she found criticism of what people were wearing, the flower arrangements etc.

Whilst training to be a registered nurse and midwife she came across people dying and wondered why this could happen.

Church attendance was reduced to once a year at Christmas, life consisted of going to work and going to disco's with little in between.

In 1976 she joined Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service as a nursing officer and served for 5 years, travelling around this country and abroad.

In 1992 she was diagnosed as having asthma and was told by consultants that she would have to give up nursing

During the six months that she was unable to work, she developed a good social life, but found she was still missing something. She was determined not to be "written off" and almost lived in the doctor’s surgery looking for answers.

One day she and a friend went to a charismatic church meeting. She noticed something different on the people’s faces, an expression of peace and joy she had never seen before in a church.

On the 7th November 1993 she was baptised in water and in the Holy Spirit as a born again believer.

Next she believed God would heal her of asthma - and in 1994 she received her miracle.

She then believed God for a husband - and in 1995 she met and married him (John).

In 1998 she went through ministry training school with her husband.

Together with her husband, Hilary has a calling to pioneer and Pastor a church called Faith Hope and Love Christian Centre in her home town of Wolverhampton.
