| Lesson 1 |
| THE HIGH CALL OF
LEADERSHIP |
| |
|
Leadership is a high call and a high
responsibility.
Who calls us to Leadership?
Paul was called, he was chosen by God. |
| |
|
HE STOOD WITH THAT CALL
OF GOD ON HIS LIFE AND
REFUSED TO ALLOW CIRCUMSTANCES TO STOP HIM. |
| |
|
Moses was called, he was chosen by God.
God worked in Moses’ life to enable him to fulfil the call
and he led a generation of his people out of bondage |
| |
|
1 TIMOTHY 4:14 ~ 16 |
| |
|
GIVE GOD ROOM TO MOVE IN YOUR
LIFE. |
| |
|
| |
1 |
Meditate on the call of God in your life. |
| |
2 |
Meditate on the gift that is within you. |
| |
3 |
Give yourself to the call. Don’t neglect it. |
| |
4 |
Ask the Spirit of God to challenge and talk to you |
|
| |
|
2 TIMOTHY 1:6 ~ 7 |
| |
|
THERE IS A GIFT INSIDE OF YOU. |
| |
|
Let the gift be stirred up and developed
by God.
Allow those changes to take place in you, to release your full potential.
Stir up the gift. The gift can lay dormant. The gift must move you
out of complacency and mediocrity.
Don’t be satisfied or content with where you are, it’s
a high call. Be obedient to whatever the call
of God is upon your life, then you will know that you are in a position
to be blessed. |
| |
|
1 |
Allow yourself to be moved by the call. |
2 |
Be moved to pursue the vision to which the call directs
you. Let your progress be evident to all. It will demand time,
energy and commitment |
|
| |
|
RISE TO YOUR POTENTIAL |
| |
|
3 |
Be moved to know God and His ways. |
4 |
The purpose of the call is to equip the saints and to build
the Kingdom of God in this hour and let the Kingdom of God
touch our society. |
|
| |
|
MAKE A DECISION TODAY….
TO RISE TO THE CALL OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE |
 |
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| Lesson 2 |
| THE CHARACTER OF
LEADERSHIP |
| |
|
GALATIANS 1:15 ~ 17 |
| |
|
Paul was called by the grace of God, he allowed for
a time of preparation for the Holy Spirit to work in his life. |
| |
|
GODLY CHARACTER MUST BE DEVELOPED. |
| |
|
1 CORINTHIANS 9:26 ~ 27 |
| |
|
Paul’s character was developed so that he ran
with CERTAINTY and with PURPOSE
in life’s challenges. He ran to win and REFUSED
to be cast away, to be disqualified. |
| |
|
REFUSE TO FALL VICTIM
TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF
LIFE AND THE SNARES OF THE ENEMY. |
| |
|
LEADERSHIP NEEDS TO BE BUILT
ON A STRONG FOUNDATION. |
| |
|
Jesus called the disciples so that they might be with
Him. He spoke to their hearts, not their minds, as He began to build
their lives and instruct them, they began to change. Their character
was being developed for leadership. IT WAS A PREPARATION
TIME |
| |
|
Allow the men of God to speak into your life and the
Word of God to instruct you and develop your character to enable
you to carry the call of God. |
| |
|
2 TIMOTHY 1:13 1 TIMOTHY 6:11 |
| |
|
Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience,
and meekness. |
| |
|
Galatians 5 shows that we are either
pursuing the works of the flesh or pursuing the Spirit of God. |
| |
|
My will has to submit to the development of the character
of godliness. Some people have a natural strong self- will, but
it is not good enough for God. It must be submitted and submissive
to the Holy Spirit. |
| |
|
1 |
Pursue righteousness. |
Seek first the Kingdom of God. |
| 2 |
Pursue godliness. |
Godliness overcomes unrighteousness |
| 3 |
Pursue faith. |
A man of faith is an achiever. |
4 |
Pursue love. |
Love affects our attitude. |
| 5 |
Pursue patience. |
The Apostle Peter was impatient by nature. He had to learn
patience. He had to learn Proverbs 3: 5~6.
Patience isn’t there to make you passive. It’s
there to build character. |
| 6 |
Pursue gentleness. |
Galatians 5: 16 States that we are to ‘Walk
In the Spirit‘ |
7 |
Pursue meekness. |
Meekness; means “Bridled strength” |
|
| |
|
2 TIMOTHY 2:2 |
| |
|
HOW DO WE BUILD GODLY CHARACTER
AS A
FOUNDATION IN OUR LIFE? |
| |
|
1 |
Be prepared to change and become faithful to
the Word of God. Faithfulness comes out of a relationship
with God and is a product of faith in our heart. When we are
faithful we will be able to faithfully teach others. |
2 |
Learn from past mistakes. |
3 |
Apply the principles of the Word of God and pray and build
in the Spirit. |
4 |
Walk in wisdom. |
|
 |
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| Lesson 3 |
| THE ATTITUDES OF LEADERSHIP |
| |
|
2 TIMOTHY 2:15 |
| |
|
The word of God applied to our lives is vital. Applying
the principle of truth, the Word of God, to every area of life builds
eternal values. Breaking the principles of God always brings negative
consequences |
| |
|
JAMES 3:17~18 |
| |
|
BUILD THE PILLARS OF WISDOM. |
| |
|
1 |
Have pure motives. |
Love for God’s people. |
2 |
Be peaceable. |
Be a peacemaker. |
3 |
Have gentleness. |
Be willing to yield. |
4 |
Be teachable. |
Be pliable and willing to hear. |
5 |
Be full of mercy. |
Have mercy that you may obtain mercy. |
6 |
Bear good fruits. |
Let good fruits come around your life |
|
| |
|
GOD WILL GET IT TO YOU
IF HE CAN GET IT THROUGH YOU |
| |
|
Joseph was a young man with a dream, and a desire
and determination to pursue it. His dream had a purpose, which God
would fulfil. |
| |
|
He suffered rejection and hurt and even though he
was sold out by his brothers and others, he never sold out on his
God. His attitude and gifts released him to be Prime Minister in
Egypt. The Lord built wisdom in Joseph. |
| |
|
WHAT IS MY ATTITUDE? |
| |
|
An attitude is a consistent, automatic response to
life’s situation. Satan wants to develop negatives attitudes
by negative situations. Noah is a Godly example. He lived ABOVE
the circumstances that surrounded him.
Your self-image and self-esteem need to automatically reject negative
attitudes. Seek the Lord with all your heart. Jesus said, “If
you love Me, you will keep My commandments”. |
| |
MY ATTITUDE IS THE POTRAIT
OF MY LIFE. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 4 |
| FAITH IN LEADERSHIP |
| 1 TIMOTHY 6:12 |
| |
1 |
Fight the good fight of faith. |
2 |
Lay hold of eternal life |
3 |
Keep a good confession before witnesses. Our faith will
keep us in the midst of a good confession |
|
| MARK 11: 22~23 |
| |
Jesus cursed the fig tree and it died. Jesus achieved
the impossible.
How can we achieve the kind of things God is calling us to achieve? |
| |
OUR WORD MUST BE BASED ON WHO WE ARE. |
| |
Words betray you; they paint a picture of your life
and character. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
If we are going to lead people into the Kingdom of God, we need
to speak the language of the Kingdom |
| ROMANS 10:8. |
| |
By speaking faith words we get them from our minds
and into out hearts. |
| |
ISAIAH 54:17…”No weapon
formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue, which rises
against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage
of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,
says the Lord”. |
| |
We condemn negativity by speaking the Word of God.
Agree with what God says. |
| SPEAK ONLY WORDS OF LIFE. |
| |
PSALM141: 1… “Set a guard,
O Lord, over my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips”.
Know when to keep quiet and when to speak. The words I speak make
way in the spirit realm, whether for good or evil |
| |
PSALM 39:1…. “I will
guard my ways lest I sin with my tongue, I will restrain my
mouth with a muzzle…” |
| |
To speak in abundance
of faith, we must
FIRST meditate on the Word of God, and then SPEAK. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 5 |
| WORDS
DETERMINE OUR FUTURE |
| |
Words declare our faith. |
| |
1 TIMOTHY 6:20 “Guard what
was committed to your trust avoiding profane and
vain babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge”.
It is important to avoid idle words. |
| |
REVELATION 12:11 “And they
overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony…” |
| |
Satan, the accuser was overcome by: |
| |
| |
1 |
The blood of the Lamb.
Satan has no answer for the blood of Jesus Christ. The sealing
of the Covenant by the blood is unbreakable. It is the way
of victory. |
| |
2 |
By the word of our testimony. What
is my testimony? My testimony is not in remembering and recounting
my past. My testimony is that old things have passed away
and all things have become new. My testimony is that I can
do all things through Jesus Christ my Lord. My testimony is
that no one can separate me from the love of God. |
|
| |
FAITH PRODUCES ACTION |
| |
| |
1 |
Speak faith words. |
| |
2 |
If God said it, believe and act on what He says. |
| |
3 |
Faith men and women are people who stand on the Word of
God, regardless of circumstances. |
| |
4 |
Guard your mind. Meditate on God’s Word day and night. |
|
| |
|
| LEADERSHIP WILL BE COMMITTED TO FAITHFUL MEN
AND WOMEN WHO WILL COMMIT IT TO OTHERS. |
| LEADERSHIP ARE PEOPLE OF FAITH |
| |
HEBREWS 11:1 “Now faith is
the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” |
| |
Begin to work with HOPE. Hope is a confident expectation
for good. |
| |
Abraham believed God and in Romans 4:17 it stated
that “He called those things which did not exist as though
they did”. |
| |
He hoped, contrary to natural hope, because he believed
in God and not the circumstances. He hoped against hope. |
| WORDS ACTIVATE OUR FAITH. |
| JOSHUA 6:10 |
| |
Joshua allowed no word to proceed from the people
– (stopped the murmuring, stopped the negativity), then came
the shout of faith. “Now shout, for the Lord has given you
the city”. |
| WORDS ARE POWERFUL |
| |
JOB 22:28 “You will also declare
a thing and it will be established for you”. |
| |
Seeds will not grow unless they are planted.
Words will communicate the vision.
They also communicate negatives of anger, resentment and bitterness.
Words carry life and death, so they must be based on the substance
of God’s Word. |
| |
JAMES 3:2 |
| |
Words do affect our subconscious life. They can move
mountains and nations and smash the demonic power in people’s
lives.
Words carry the anointing to bring deliverance and healing. |
| |
HEBREWS 4:12 |
| |
For further study, list the scriptures, which will
build faith in your own personal life. |
| |
Abraham BELIEVED God. He heard what
God said and the Word of God became alive in him. It was a “Rhema”
word, a word of life.As he heard the Word of God it built his hope,
and as he believed what God said, his hope built and was the foundation
for his faith. |
| |
JAMES 2:20 |
| |
How can we break through? |
| |
How can we be an architect for the Kingdom of God? |
| |
WHERE DOES THIS KIND OF FAITH COME FROM? |
| |
1 |
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word
of God. |
ROMANS |
10:17 |
2 |
Have the confession. |
2 CORTINTHIANS |
4:13 |
3 |
Have a gift of faith. |
1 CORITHIANS |
12:9 |
|
| WITHOUT FAITH IT
IS IMPOSSBLE TO PLEASE GOD |
| |
We need to be working and building holy faith in our
lives.
Believing and speaking the Word of God |
| |
The spoken word begins to bring faith into our hearts
and lives. Lay hold of eternal life and get a fight for faith on
the inside. Say what God declares. Move the mountains in the realm
of the unseen spirit world and the seen natural world. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 6 |
| THE
ANOINTING |
| WHAT IS THE ANOINTING?
|
| |
“The anointing breaks the yoke”. We need
the anointing around our lives. |
| |
WE HAVE AN ANOINTING. |
| |
1 JOHN 2:20. |
| |
The anointing is God’s ability. It is powerful
and wonderful. It is the Holy Spirit’s power working in our
lives. It is not a performance, but a power that breaks through
bondages. |
| |
SAMSON HAD AN ANOINTING. |
| |
In Judges we read of specific instructions given to
the raising of Samson so that God could use him. He was set apart,
set aside so that the spirit of God’s power could be over
his life |
| |
The anointing CAME UPON Samson.
He was given supernatural strength and supernatural ability.
When in JUDGES 14:19 he was called upon to keep
his word, the Spirit of God CAME UPON HIM MIGHTILY. |
| |
The anointing comes upon us to enable us to do what
God calls us to do. We can realise that we have a call of God on
our life and try to do it in our own strength, but we will lack
the power of God. |
| |
WE NEED THE ANOINTING. |
| |
| JESUS HAD THE ANOINTING. |
| |
LUKE 4:18 Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit. He
worked with the Holy Spirit for a specific purpose. He said, “The
Spirit of the Lord is UPON ME…”
He was anointed to do specific things. |
| |
HOW DO WE KEEP THE ANOINTING? |
| |
ISAIAH 40:31 “But those who
wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount
up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary. They
shall walk and not faint”. |
| |
The promise is to give power to the weak to increase
strength. |
| |
Leadership fatigue is real. You can have burn-out
and we need to wait upon the Lord. |
| |
Wait on the Lord, spend time with Him, and tell the
Holy Spirit, “Lord, I entwine my life around you I exchange
my abilities for your ability. I wait on you Holy Spirit to speak
to me. I wait on you Holy Spirit to instruct me”. |
| |
PSALM 1:1 “Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly….” |
| |
Don’t let circumstances and the ungodly counsel
you.
You will be blessed if you meditate day and night on the Word of
God, until it gets around your heart and life.
Let it grow and develop. |
| |
The presence of God is a workable anointing. You have
to spend time to wait on the Lord and then that impartation comes
upon your life.
Give the Lord room to move in your life. A good programme and good
information is not good enough. |
| |
JOHN 16:8 says…”And when
He has come He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness
and of judgment”. |
| |
It is the revelation that the anointing brings that
will result in conviction and salvation. |
| THE
ANOINTING AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS
ALWAYS AROUND US AND AVAILABLE. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 7 |
| IMPARTATION OF
VISION |
| |
Without a progressive vision, the people perish. |
| |
We need to know how to build a vision in our Church
and in our lives. |
| |
How do we build a vision and set a goal? Is it achievable? |
| Set high goals but be realistic |
| |
1 |
Direction. |
2 |
Progress |
3 |
Accomplishment. |
|
| PHILIPPIANS 3:14 |
| |
PRESS ON…PRESS ON TO THE UPWARD CALL
OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE. |
| |
HOW DOES VISION COME INTO LEADERSHIP? |
| |
There has to be a starting point. A vision comes by
dreaming, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is subject to the
prophet and a vision is subject to the person’s heart. |
| |
A dream must come from a sanctified life. |
| |
Motivation comes from a godly heart and a godly soul.
Small visions are for small men. |
| |
Dream big dreams, then, break them down into achievable
bites.
With long term goals, speak the vision often to maintain motivation.
|
| |
HABAKKUK 2:2~3 “Write the vision
and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it. For the
vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it will speak
and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, because it
will surely come, it will not tarry…” |
| STEPS TO OBTAINING YOUR VISION. |
| |
1 |
Write down the vision ~ write down the details. |
2 |
Make it plain ~ have clear communication to others. |
3 |
Enthusiasm ~ give a purpose so that he may run who needs
it. |
4 |
The vision is yet for an appointed time.
Our faith is the assurance. |
| 5 |
Though it tarries, wait for it.
Look at the realities of what has to be faced. Count the cost.
A vision can be stolen by negative words, circumstances and
hard situations.
Write it down ~ speak it often. DON’T QUIT |
|
| |
Evaluate from time to time. Say “Holy Spirit,
how am I doing?”
Give the Holy Spirit room to move. Have a short-term and long-term
goal burning in your heart. |
| WRITE IT
DOWN AND BUILD IT IN YOUR PRAYER LIFE. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 8 |
| SERVING THE MAN OF GOD |
| |
In 1 KINGS 19:19~21 we see how Elisha
received the mantle of God and followed Elijah, the man of God. |
| |
It is important to be able to receive the impartation
and work together to build the Kingdom of God. |
| |
1 |
Elisha felt the call of God on his life when
Elijah dropped his mantle on him. |
2 |
Elisha ran after the man of God. |
3 |
Elisha had to lay down some areas in his old life before
he could follow the man of God. |
| 4 |
Elisha made a sacrifice at the beginning of his call and
destroyed his instruments of work to pursue after the new
life to which he was called. |
|
| |
When the call of God comes to your life, put the past
behind you.
Burn the bridges and don’t look back. Run forward after the
vision. |
| REQUIREMENT OF LEADERSHIP IS TOTAL
COMMITMENT. |
| |
When Jesus said to His disciples, “You need
to eat My flesh and drink My blood”, many left Him. He asked
His disciples “Are you going too?” |
| |
Commitment is required to the man of God, not just
to be a follower, a “YES” man, but to have a dream and
a vision in your own life and in working together with the man of
God to build the Kingdom of God. |
| |
2 KINGS 2:1~2 “As the Lord
lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you…”.
Elijah challenged Elisha three times to leave him. (2 KINGS
2:4,6) but Elisha was loyal, committed to the call. |
| |
Have you built an altar in your own heart to worship?
… To pray? … Be a living sacrifice? |
| |
As leadership you can only take people to the level
you have reached and where you have been yourself. |
| |
Leadership is servant-hood, making a way
in the Spirit for those that are following. |
| |
There were many people around Jesus, but it was the
twelve who followed and served Jesus who lay the foundation of the
Christian Church today. They counted the cost and paid the price. |
| |
Many men and women in the past paid the price and
sought after God. We are men and women of the future. Elisha received
a double portion of the gift on Elijah’s life. By his loyalty
and faithfulness he received the impartation of Elijah’s life
and ministry two-fold. |
| |
2 TIMOTHY 4:5 |
| |
Insurance is only for this life. Financial reward
is only for this life. This life can only be fulfilled by serving
God. Walk after your high call and fulfil your ministry. |

| Lesson 9 |
| SOUL
WINNING |
| LEADERS MUST BE SOUL WINNERS. |
| |
Leaders must win souls. It is a sign of wisdom. |
| |
EXODUS 1:7 “The children of
Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew
exceedingly mighty and the land was filled with them”. |
| |
This is the hour of revival. Being fruitful is a sign
of God’s blessing. An attribute of a great leader is that
they reproduce; they have a passion for souls. |
| |
EXODUS 1:11- |
| |
The children of Israel were afflicted. The devil tries
to intimidate and afflict us to stop fruitfulness in soul winning.
This is the time to get desperate. Rachael was barren and she said,
“give me children or I die”. Let that type of passion
rise to win souls from the kingdom of darkness. |
| |
MATHEW 9:36~38 |
| |
Jesus had been preaching and healing and when He saw
the multitude he was filled with compassion because they were weary
and scattered, like sheep without the care and protection of the
shepherd. The harvest is plentiful. There is a
call of the Spirit on nations, but the labourers are few. |
| |
Jesus said…PRAY. Supplicate
for the souls of men and women whose bondages must be broken. Plant
prayer to reap the harvest. |
| |
Preaching the word of God, Jesus is the Power of God
unto salvation. |
| |
Jacob wrestled with the angel and would not let go.
He got the blessing. He paid a price, but he got the blessing. |
| |
LUKE 19:13 “…occupy till
I come…” Possess your land. |
| |
PSALM 1:8 “…The heathen
are our inheritance…” |
| |
If we are not winning souls we haven’t
got our inheritance |
| |
1 |
Be relevant in your communication of the Gospel. |
2 |
Meet the needs of the community. Show practical Christianity.
Evaluate the needs and refuse to be moved by the circumstances.
Facilitate the areas of need and don’t over programme
your Church so that they don’t have time for activities
with the unsaved. |
3 |
Pray. Break the Spirit over your city. Pray individually
and corporately to have passion for souls. |
|
|
WHAT YOU ARE, YOU WILL IMPART.
BE REALISTIC AND MEET THE NEEDS OF THE WEARY AND THE LOST. |
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 10 |
| WORKING WITH
THE GIFTS |
| |
MATHEW 25: 14~25 Shows the need to
build stewardship into our lives.
We need to work with the fruits and the gifts in our life. |
| |
Paul told Timothy to stir up the gift. Don’t
neglect or despise it. You can neglect the gifts or let them lay
dormant. |
| |
To find fulfillment in your life, accept the responsibility
and commitment of the gift you have. Be creative to make room for
yourself with the gift. |
| |
MATHEW 25:15 |
| |
Some people are very talented (5 talents). Some are
average (2 talents). Some people have only one talent, but because
of insecurity within, they hide the talent and it is not able to
grow. |
| |
WE ALL HAVE NATURAL GIFTS |
| |
Take an honest evaluation. Take away the mysticism
and spiritualism of your gift and offer it to the Lord. |
| |
Offer your natural gift and work with it to develop
it - e.g. music, administration, teaching, hospitality. Clothe the
natural gift from within with godliness and holiness. Spiritually
build your life to carry the gift. |
| |
BUILD THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT AROUND NATURAL
GIFTS. |
| |
1 CORINTHIANS 12:4~11 speaks of the
diversities of the gifts, which are gifts of the Spirit to enable
us to fulfil the ministry. Build these gifts of the Holy Spirit
around your natural gifts.
Leadership needs gifts of teaching, counsel, discernment, encouragement,
exhortation, wisdom, hospitality, miracles, signs and wonders. Develop
the gift naturally by personal improvements, communication skills,
time management etc. |
| |
MULITIPLY THE GIFT |
| |
Multiply the gift you have by bringing others into
your gift. Share and encourage others who have the same gift to
build and develop it. Be diligent, faithful & committed. |
| |
DEFEAT NEGATIVITY. |
| |
Thomas the disciple, was always negative, but Jesus
took him with them. Thomas walked with a call of God on his life,
but when he saw the risen Lord, the negatives and insecurities were
broken. Until Jesus comes into our lives to transform us, we won’t
rise up to accept the responsibility for our talents and gifts.
Thomas repented of his negativity and doubt and then pursued the
call of God on his life. |
| |
HOW DO YOU WAIT ON THE GIFTS? |
| |
Wait on the gifts. Desire the word of knowledge and
prophecy. Talk to God about it. Let the pictures of the Spirit of
God build up on the inside. Don’t let your fears talk to you.
Let the Spirit of God talk to you. |
| |
ROMANS 12:3 |
| |
Have a sober estimation of yourself, not an exaggerated
opinion of your own importance. Be a support to the Pastor, to the
Church and men and women around you. “Each according to the
degree of faith apportioned by God to him” |
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Lesson 11 |
| IS YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER |
| |
Isaiah told Hezekiah to set his house in order. |
| |
Psalm 127:1 |
| |
A testimony and ministry can be nullified by an unhappy
home situation. You can live in a house, but it is not a home.
A home should have a hospitable loving atmosphere in which each
member has the opportunity to develop and grow in their potential. |
| |
Society has birthed a generation of children growing
up in broken, strife-filled homes, because the principles of the
world are not the principles of God, and it brings chaos. |
| |
The home is built on the wrong foundation. |
| |
BASIC FOUNDATIONS IN A GODLY HOME. |
| |
Ephesians 5 lays down the foundation
and pattern for a godly home. |
| |
1 |
Husbands love your wife. Nurture that love,
as Christ loves the Church. |
2 |
Wives submit to your husbands as unto the Lord. To submit
means a loving attitude, willing to work with the vision of
the household. |
3 |
Children obey your parents. Many children feel restricted.
They want to fight against the principles of God. |
|
| |
PSALM 133:1 “Behold how good
and how pleasant it is for the brethren to dwell together in unity” |
| |
ECCLESIASTES 4:12 “ a threefold
cord is not quickly broken”. |
| |
Walk together in unity and harmony. Let the Lord guard
your home. A threefold is, the parent/s, the children and God. Be
in agreement; believe together for a godly home. |
| |
JOSHUA 24:15 |
| |
PRINCIPLES FOR BUILDING A GODLY HOME. |
| |
| 1 |
Keep an atmosphere of unity and wholeness in
the home. |
| 2 |
Build a disciplined life. Take time to rest the body. Avoid
animosity. Words hurt and tension can build around your life
and pull down unity. |
| 3 |
Husbands don’t command your home. Lead and bring
structure into the. Home. Wives be good homemakers so that
the family can say “It’s good to be home” |
| 4 |
Cleanliness is next to godliness. Men have the headship
and motivation and women are the homemakers, but it takes
teamwork from all, not just one doing all the work. |
| 5 |
Relationships. The basic principle is to pray together as
a family. Teach the children to pray and worship God. Make
it fun. Let them preach and express themselves. |
| 6 |
Be unselfish. Homes can be a place of hospitality for the
Church. |
| 7 |
Keep the lines of communication open to all members of the
family. Be open, honest and transparent. Communication ceases
when our need to conceal becomes stronger than our desire
for unity. |
| 8 |
Above all, take the shield of faith and hedge it around
your family. |
|
|
What we are in the family is what we are. |

| Lesson 12 |
| THE RIGHT
TO APPROACH MONEY. |
| |
God wants us to have a right attitude to money. He
wants to bless us, and our attitude to giving money, so as to extend
the Kingdom of God is the way He blesses us. |
| |
1 TIMOTHY 6:10 |
| |
WHAT IS MY HEART ATTITUDE TO MONEY?
It’s the “love of money”, not money itself, that
is the root of ALL KINDS of evil. It can turn us from our faith.
The love and greed for money will pierce with many sorrows. |
| |
MATHEW 6:21 “For where your
treasure is, there will your heart be also”
If your heart is to build the Kingdom of God, you will let the finances
to build it come through you. |
| |
WHAT IS GOD’S ATTITUDE TO MONEY |
| |
What is God’s attitude to money? What attitude
does God want us to have? |
| |
Abraham was not a pauper. Abraham was blessed financially.
Jacob prospered. Joseph prospered. Paul said, “…my God
shall supply all my needs…” God’s plan is for
us to be blessed financially… ”Even as our soul prospers”
|
| |
TITHING. |
| |
MALACHI 3:10
As we bring our tithes into the storehouse, we break off the “love
of money”. We can put our treasure into the Kingdom of God. |
| |
1 |
Tithing makes an open heaven in the house of
God. |
| 2 |
By tithing we are given the privilege to prove God and see
the windows of heaven opened and blessings poured out. |
| 3 |
By tithing, the devourer is rebuked. |
|
| |
WHAT YOU ARE WILL BE REPRODUCED IN THOSE
YOU ARE LEADING. |
| |
We can sow a crop of finances into the Kingdom of
God. Pray it is sown as good seed. |
| |
As you sow, you will reap. Be a liberal giver |
| |
God is raising up people to be facilitators of finances
for the Kingdom of God. TITHING IS A REQUIRMENT |
| |
An offering is “extra giving” from the
abundance of the heart. |
| |
GOD’S COVENANT |
| |
Israel was a sign of God’s blessing whenever
they walked according to God’s covenant. |
| |
DEUTERONOMY 8:1~8 |
| |
Claim your inheritance out of tithing. The Lord will
give you the power to prosper and get wealth…. so that His
covenant will be established. So that His Kingdom will be extended.
His provision and abundance is not only for what money can buy for
you, but to make provision to take the world for Jesus Christ. |
| |
THE VISION FOR PROSPERITY FOR OUR PERSONAL
LIVES AND FOR THE CHURCH IS OUR INHERITANCE. |
| |
1 |
Build the power to get wealth around your life
by speaking abundance and rebuking the devourer. |
2 |
Understand how to budget and live according to your income.
Keep your finances in order. |
3 |
Wait on God. Sow in the measure according to the faith within
you. |
|
| |
What is your gift? If you are a facilitator of finances
and that is your gift, by bringing it to the storehouse you will
release others who have different gifts to minister to the body
of Christ and to extend the Kingdom of God. |
 |

| Lesson 13 |
| PRAYER |
| |
Every leader needs a vibrant, active, powerful prayer
life. Leaders need to be involved in the prayer life of the Church. |
| |
1 THESSALONIANS 5:17 |
| |
Jesus was in prayer constantly. He took time to be
alone with the Father. When the disciples had to look to find Him,
they constantly found Him in a solitary place, in prayer. He said,
“I only do what I see My Father doing”. He had a relationship
with His Father. His life was motivated by the Father’s will.
Jesus lived a life of prayer. The disciples moved by His prayer
life said “teach us to pray”. |
| |
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS TO DEVELOP
PRAYER LIFE |
| |
When we are baptised in the Holy Spirit, we are given
a prayer language. Speaking In tongues is praying in tongues, a
prayer language. As we pray, we are making room for people to walk
on with God. |
| |
It takes committed time to develop communication and
a relationship with our Father. |
| |
1 |
Have a desire to pray. |
2 |
Be disciplined to pray |
3 |
Delight in God’s presence |
|
| |
LEADERS TAKE THEIR PEOPLE TO PRAYER |
| |
Leaders are pray-ers |
| |
Leaders take their people to prayer, not because prayer
moves God, but because prayer builds our relationship with God.
My Christian walk is… myself and God. He is my best friend.
I want to have a quiet intimate time with my God. Build that intimacy. |
| |
Prayer releases authority in your life. |
| |
Leaders are movers. Yield yourself to the Holy Spirit
and let Him motivate, guide and strengthen you. |
| |
We can never afford mediocrity of complacency. Rise
up to prayer and godliness. Let us rise up to change every attribute
in our lives by yielding to the will of God. |
| |
We pray to meet with God, not to fulfil the
law. |
|
THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD ARE OUR MISSION FIELD. |
| ALL
THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO PRAY AND BELIEVE!! |
| |
